June 2024toJanuary 2025
Caribbean Cocktail was a small, fast-moving consumer product venture Alex launched shortly after returning to Guyana. The business produced premium dehydrated citrus garnishes for cocktails, working directly with local farmers and packaging the products for bars, retailers, and home consumers. Built quickly and operated lean, the company focused on simple production processes, strong margins, and direct sales, allowing it to generate steady cash flow in its first year of operation.
While the product itself gained traction, Caribbean Cocktail also became something more important: the starting point of Alex’s social media journey in Guyana. By documenting the process of building the business from the ground up (production, sales, challenges, and small wins), he began to attract an audience interested in entrepreneurship and business development. The brand’s story helped establish his voice online and laid the foundation for the influence he would later build across multiple platforms.
After about a year, Alex chose to wind the business down, having achieved its primary purpose of creating cash flow and momentum during his transition back to Guyana. More importantly, Caribbean Cocktail served as the launchpad for his public entrepreneurial presence, helping him build credibility, visibility, and connections that would power his future ventures.
